Some work days are better than others...

Three minutes down the road from our home is one of my favourite runs. Today felt like summer (not bad for September...that's the equivalent of March for you northern hemisphere folks!), and there was no way I could resist a lunch-time escape...

The beautiful views make up for the hard work...which it certainly is with all of the stairs...

Yep, that's a steep hill with a lot of stairs. And there's no shortage of company, with the mighty pukeko flicking his white bum...

And the cows adding the occasional moo of support...

And of course there was plenty of mud and sand to make it fun...

All in all, not bad for a work day! My happy and red face post-run....
